2 Chainz was reportedly held at gunpoint in broad daylight and had his wallet stolen. So scary!
2 Chainz must be feeling pretty shaken up right about now, because he was reportedly assaulted and held at gun point on June 9 in San Francisco, and shots were fired. To make matters worse, when the rapper was first approached, his entourage fled “like cockroaches.”
2 Chainz Shot At — Held Up & Robbed In Broad Daylight: Wallet Stolen
2 Chainz was robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight on June 9, reports TMZ. A San Francisco PD sergeant said that police responded to a shots-fired call just after 4:30pm, and when they arrived at the scene 2 Chainz was alone and he would not cooperate, saying he wanted to handle the situation himself.
The rapper told police his wallet was stolen, but it still unclear who the attacker was. Police reviewed surveillance video from the scene, and it showed that 2 Chainz was clearly the intended target. Police are currently looking for a suspect.
In the video, 2 Chainz’s entourage of 14 people “ran away from the incident like “cockroaches running from a flashlight.”
How scary!
This gunpoint robbery was not 2 Chainz’s first run in with the police, because he was arrested in Maryland in Feb. 14 for allegedly being in possession of marijuana.
The rapper was pulled over by Maryland State Police while driving in a white van with six other people. The cops say he had weed on him but 2 Chainz says he only had a grinder [used to crush up the pot] on him and no weed.
“He was only in the station briefly; just as long to get a criminal summons,” the Maryland State Police told HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “He was co-operative when he was here. He received a criminal summons, and there will be a court date assigned. He was released when he signed for the citation.”
Hopefully 2 Chainz is OK and is not feeling too frightened after the incident.
