Selena Gomez appeared to be getting her mind off her recent split from Justin Bieber on June 8 when she was photographed heading into the restaurant, Kabuki in Los Angeles, Calif. with David Henrie, who played her brother on The Wizards of Waverly Place. An eyewitness at the restaurant tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that the two co-stars were meeting more friends, and that they had an eventful meal.
Selena Gomez’s Friendly Sushi Lunch
Selena and her group of friends had quite the Japanese feast, the source says. Plates just kept coming out of the kitchen, as Selena and company shared different kinds of sushi and sashimi — original tuna, yellowtail, and different kinds of salmon rolls. They topped it off with an order of garlic edamame, which was a huge hit at the table.
The group of friends were energetic and happy, talking fast and frequently with each other.
As for the nature of Selena and David’s relationship, the insider insists that it seemed more friendly than romantic. There were no displays of affection and the lunch didn’t have a date feel by any means, says the source. It was just a group of good friends enjoying sushi (and a lot of it) together.

Though Justin has reportedly been seeing other girls and “doing his thing,” as HollywoodLife.com reported exclusively, Selena seems more comfortable taking a break from dating and just focusing on her career and her friends.
A few days before her sushi lunch on June 5, Selena went out to karaoke with a group of friends. She looked to be having a great time, not at all stressed out by her recent breakup.
