The controversial talk show host made some shocking remarks on his June 28 show, claiming that Donald Trump, Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, and Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia were all more racist than Paula. We’re completely stunned by his comments — what do you think?

Paula Deen found an unlikely defender in the infamously liberal Bill Maher. On Real Talk with Bill Maher on June 28, the controversial host actually had Paula’s back, calling out a long list of prominent politicians and public figures who he believes are more racist than her.

Bill Maher’s Shocking Defense Of Paula Deen

Perhaps even more unbelievable than that, Bill, who also touched on the Trayvon Martin case, actually used the N-word in the monologue, a move that stunned the audience into complete silence. But instead of muddying his shocking words, we’re providing you with an exact transcript of what Bill had to say:

The other big ruling this week from the Supreme Court — they’re such drama queens, they wait for the end and then do it all at once — they struck down the heart of the Voting Rights Act, which protected minority voting in areas where it needed to be protected. Their reasoning at the court, Judge Roberts said this, is that we don’t need it anymore. Racism is basically over in America, so let’s get back to talking about Trayvon Martin & Paula Deen.

Have you been watching the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman trial? I dunno if you saw this young lady – Rachel Jeantel was the big star witness that they brought out the last couple of days. I just have to say, if America isn’t racist anymore, how come Bristol Palin has a reality show and this chick doesn’t?

She’s very honest. She testified that Trayvon Martin was being followed by this guy George Zimmerman, who he told her on the phone was a “creepy-ass cracker.” In a related story, Paula Deen lost the endorsement of Creepy-Ass Crackers, which is such a shame — they were racist but delicious.

Some of the news channels — I love this — were bleeping the word cracker, like it’s the N-word. You know what, if you think saying “cracker” is the same thing as saying the N-word then you’re a cracker.

Later in the show Bill continued:

Just the fact that [Justice Antonin Scalia] talks about black people voting as an entitlement, that is so much more racist than anything Paula Deen ever said.

We have replaced having a conversation about race with “Oh OK, liberals feel good about themselves if they make the bad person go away.” Who's the bad person? The one we caught saying that one word. Donald Trump is a worse racist but he gets to keep his show because he never said the word. Sarah Palin is a worse racist, she said Obama was shucking and jiving his way to victory. Newt Gingrich said he was the food stamp president. This is real racism.

We don’t even know what to say! Bill has crossed the line before, but this might be the furthest he’s ever gone. What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Is Bill right to defend Paula? Does his defense make sense? And maybe most importantly, is he wrong to accuse all these people of being racist? Let us know!
