Plus, Richie and Kathy Wakile’s marriage is tested as they move forward with their cannoli business.
Relationships are pushed to their limits and the idea of marriage is questioned on the June 30 episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
Richard & Kathy Wakile Argue Over Their Business
Richard and Kathy Wakile have teamed up to sell her famous cannolis. Unfortunately, they don’t agree on a lot of things, including the packaging that Richie picks out. Kathy wants a light blue box with a ribbon, but Richie picks out a plain white cardboard box.
Richie feels his decisions should be final. “I married a housewife, not an entrepreneur,” Richard says in his confessional. (This is why it’s never a good idea to mix business with pleasure.)
To make matters worse, Richie takes it upon himself to purchase a kitchen, outside of the house, for Kathy to work in. While it appears to be a nice gesture, Kathy seems a bit apprehensive. She’s not happy that Richie makes decisions without asking her opinion.
“Can’t I just make some decisions on my own?” Kathy asks. “You’re annoying the f*** out of me,” Richie retorts.
Later, Richie says the house is starting to become a pigsty now that Kathy’s committing all her time to her business. (We’ve never seen this side of Richie — we’re a bit worried.)
Caroline Manzo’s Kids Aren’t Big Fans Of Marriage
Albie, Chris and Lauren Manzo all grew up in a household, where their dad, Albert Manzo, was gone six out of seven days. They say they learned from that lifestyle and aren’t in a rush to get married. Instead, they’re all focused on their careers, like their father.
During a sit-down dinner with Caroline Manzo in Hoboken, Chris tells his mom he doesn’t want kids, Albie says he wants to marry a woman who accepts that he’ll be working six out of seven days, and Lauren says she’s too young to get married.
Rosie Pierri, Kathy’s sister, decides to invite her cousin, Teresa Giudice, out for a drink, in hopes that they can hash things out and bring peace to the family.
However, as soon as they sit down and order drinks at a local bar, Teresa and Rosie start screaming at each other.
"Kathy called my dad a coward," Teresa says to Rosie, referring to the season four reunion.
"You're still harboring that though…let it the f*** go," Rosie responds.
Soon, Rosie starts banging her fists on the table!
On a positive note, Teresa mentions that she’s planning a weekend retreat with her brother, Joe Gorga. She’s hoping the retreat will help rebuild their relationship. Rosie loves the idea and proposes that the entire family goes, including the Manzos and the Lauritas!
Teresa says, “I’ll have to think about that.” (Please do it, Teresa. If Rosie will be pounding her fists on more tables, we’re all for it!)
Whose side are you on, HollywoodLifers? Do you think this retreat is a good idea?
