Paris Jackson, the 16-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson, was rushed to a hospital early Wednesday morning, June 5, after an alleged suicide attempt.
Paris Jackson Reportedly Attempts Suicide
Paris was taken out of her Calabasas, Calif. family home on a stretcher at about 2 a.m., according to TMZ. She was then rushed to a nearby hospital.
Reportedly, the 911 call came in at 1:27 a.m. and the caller told the dispatcher that Paris had cut her wrists.
Earlier on Tuesday night, Paris had tweeted some rather cryptic messages including, “I wonder why tears are so salty?” and “yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away now it looks as though they’re here to stay.”
Paris is reportedly doing okay now.
Paris Jackson: Traumatized By Michael Jackson’s Trial?
Paris has obviously been experiencing some real trauma — surely far too much for a teenager to handle — ever since her father’s wrongful death suit opened up again less than a month ago.
The trial has brought up plenty of hurtful claims, like one alleging that only one of Michael’s children are biologically his. And it has also thrown Paris into an unwanted spotlight. She’s had to testify on behalf of her deceased father, stating that AEG should be held accountable for his death.
“Paris will have to sit for another day of questioning but she is okay with that – she is an extremely intelligent, compassionate and thoughtful young lady,” a source told Radar Online after her first day of deposition. Obviously Paris was putting on a strong face and it was affecting her more than she let on.
We’re happy to hear Paris is doing okay and is recovering — hopefully she’ll get any help she needs. Our thoughts are with her and the Jackson family.
