After Holly and the Swon Brothers landed in the bottom two this week on ‘The Voice,’ some felt it was the wrong decision to send her home. In my opinion, it was her time to go.
It’s down to five on The Voice after Holly Tucker was sent home on June 4.
Holly Tucker Is Extremely Talented
Don’t get me wrong, I have been a huge fan of Holly since day one. Her performance of “When God Fearin' Women Get the Blues” was one of my favorites this week, and as a country fan, I think she has what it takes to be star.
Unfortunately for her, so do all the other contestants on The Voice.
Holly is an adorable 19-year-old blonde country girl who really is the whole package. She performed with The Swon Brothers ”Leave The Pieces,” and it was incredible.
However, after that performance, both landed in the bottom two. The Swon Brothers survived that, and I think I know why.
The Swon Brothers: Most Likely To Succeed
In the world of country music, talented women are a dime a dozen — you’ve got killer voices like Carrie Underwood and Martina McBride, and young stars like Taylor Swift, The Voice‘s Cassadee Pope and Jana Kramer.
However, the world of Nashville is yet to have a brother duo that really sticks. They’ve got Big & Rich, Love and Theft and Florida Georgia Line – all male duos who are becoming more and more popular; and all three are nominated for a CMT Music Award.
However, none of them are brothers.
The Swon Brothers are the full package — their personalities come through their performances, they’re funny, they’ve got great stage present, and they really have a great relationship. Oh yeah — and they can sing!
So, HollywoodLifers — what do you think? Do you think the Swon Brothers could make it big, or do you think Holly should have stayed?
