Oh no! Will Walter White meet his maker before the series comes to a close on September 29? The cast hinted at a gruesome ending for the AMC series at TimesTalk on July 30.
Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston attended TimesTalk to promote the final episodes of Breaking Bad at Times Center on July 30 in New York City, where Bryan revealed that Walter dying may be a “fitful” ending. (Say it isn’t so!)

When asked whether he believes Walt deserves to die at the end of the series, Bryan told an audience, "I think there's a good case for that, that maybe that's a fitful end.”
"And yet what if the thing he wanted the most, which was the togetherness of his family — what if he lived and they didn't?" he continued to ponder, leaving many in the audience absolutely speechless.
"Wouldn't that be a worse hell to be in?" Bryan continued. "Or maybe [Walter] should die," he added, instantly relieving the tension. "I vacillate on this."
Additionally, Aaron also talked about his character and death. Aaron’s alter ego, Jesse Pinkman, was surprisingly supposed to die at the end of the first season.
“When I was hired to play Jesse Pinkman, I had no idea the initial plan that he was going to meet his demise at the end of the first season,” Aaron said.
No matter what happens in the final eight episodes, we can at least be thankful that Jesse lived past the first season. Can you imagine a Breaking Bad without him? (We’d rather not try.)

Also revealed at the TimesTalk event, Anna Gunn said that Skyler’s turning point in the series was when she “made the decision not to turn [Walt] into the police.”
As far as the finale goes, RJ Mitte, who plays Walter White, Jr., said, “It really is an amazing finale to an amazing family to an amazing show.”
“Television shows are designed to be indefinite. This one, from its very conception, was not. It needed to end,” creator Vince Villigan added.
