Rob, when HollywoodLife.com broke the news that you quit smoking, I rejoiced because it’s such a horrible habit for your health. I’m so glad you’re putting your life above everything else!

Robert Pattinson, kicking your smoking habit is the best decision you could have ever made. Not only are you just too good-looking for such a nasty habit, smoking is absolutely dangerous, and it can cause lung cancer and even emphysema. More than 373,489 Americans are currently living with lung cancer, and you don’t want to be one of those statistics! Here’s why I’m so happy you quit.

Robert Pattinson: Why It’s Great You Quit Smoking

Rob, your fans, friends and family love you too much to watch you harm yourself with every puff. So it was wonderful news when HollywoodLife.com learned that you’ve decided to drop the horrible habit. We reported that ever since your breakup with Kristen Stewart, you’ve been working diligently with celebrity fitness instructor Harley Pasternak to get into the best shape of your life!

I must say, it’s wonderful that at 27 years old, you’ve already come to the realization that life is too short to waste! You have a long acting career ahead of you and you realized you were only hurting yourself by continuing the bad habit.

Plus, now that you’re taking on so many action roles and shooting in locations such as Iraq (Mission: Blacklist) and Australia (The Rover) — which can be difficult to navigate physically — smoking will be harder and harder on your body. This nasty habit could affect your career even in the short-term, Rob, and your body needs to be in peak shape right now!

Rob, We’re So Happy You’re Putting Your Health First

Trust me, Rob, lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths in both men and women all over the world. Each year in the United States alone, there are more than 226,000 new cases of lung cancer. When you break it down, lung cancer is responsible for almost one-third of all cancer deaths in the U.S. Where do cigarettes come into play? About 80 percent of all cases of chronic obstructive lung disease are caused by smoking cigarettes.

If these facts don’t scare you away from smoking, Rob, then I don’t know what will! But it’s wonderful that you’ve already decided to put your health first and I applaud you! You’re being a great role model for all of your fans and it will definitely pay off in your health and your career.

Are you happy Rob is focusing on his heath, HollywoodLifers?
