Aww! The young lovers are clearly still on cloud nine after getting engaged last weekend on Aug. 18 — just five days later the cute couple traded romantic messages with each other on Twitter.
Zayn Malik usually plays it cool, but even he can’t control his happiness and excitement over getting engaged to Perrie Edwards. And on Aug. 23, Perrie proved that she is just as excited — and romantic — as her fiance.

After gushing about how happy he was during an interview on the Today show, Zayn took to Twitter to continue the love fest. The sexy One Direction star tweeted out:
Never been more happy in my life ! Thank you to everyone that has been so lovely about my engagement to my beautiful fiancé ! Big love z X
It didn’t take long for Perrie to notice. Just three minutes later she responded to his tweet, writing, “best thing ever <3.”
And if that wasn’t cute enough, the 20-year-old singer then took to her band’s Twitter page and raved, “Iv also never felt so happy! :) Thank you everyone for being so kind and supportive! Im a lucky girl! xD I Love you all! Perrie <3.” Aww!
Zayn Malik & Perrie Edwards: Happy & Deeply In Love
We just can’t get enough of this adorable couple! Critics may claim that they’re too young to be tying the knot, but even they have to admit that Zayn and Perrie seem completely in love with each other.
“We are engaged, really happy,” Zayn bashfully told Matt Lauer on Today on Aug. 23. And Perrie also recently gushed about her man to Twist magazine:
Zayn is so lovely. You know things are good when you can't wait to see the other person. It's a sense of friendship. The main thing I looked for is if he's fun to be around, if I can have a laugh with him.
This is a star-studded marriage that we’re definitely getting behind — we could read a Twitter conversation between these two forever!
