The country crooner looks so soft and feminine on the magazine’s February issue. Do YOU Love her hair & makeup? Sound off below!
Carrie Underwood, 29, never disappoints when it comes to her hair and makeup! The blonde beauty is the picture of glamour on every red carpet she graces. She’s the perfect choice to front the iconic magazine’s February 2013 cover. In the stunning pic she debuts a subtle makeup look with soft grey shadow and just a blush of color on her lips.
Makeup artist Tyron Machhausen went heavy on the mascara “to show off her beautiful green-hazel eyes.” Machhausen lined Carries’s upper lashes with a grayish brown pencil and spread shimmery taupe shadow on her lids. He curled her lashes and swiped volumizing mascara on both the top and bottom. He added peachy pink cream blush to Carrie’s cheeks, defined the singer’s lips with a pink-y nude pencil, and added clear gloss. “Her lips have a nice pink undertone,” he said.
Hairstylist Peter Gray squirted mousse on Carrie’s roots, then used a blow-dryer and a paddle brush to shape her hair. Holding a large-barrel curling iron vertically, he wound her hair into loose ringlets. He ran a wide-tooth comb through the waves, roughed up her hair, misted it with texturizing spray, and added a drop of serum on the ends to make it “lived-in and sexy.”
Carrie reveals a surprising little secret in her interview: “underneath every skirt, every dress, I’m wearing shorts. So that everyone in the world knows, if I ever fell down, nobody would get a peek at anything.” And usually the shorts are a different color from her onstage outfits, “so that everyone knows they’re not seeing my undergarments.” and then says, “So sad….,” which is presumably in response to stars like Anne Hathaway who’ve had major wardrobe malfunctions.
