Chris is claiming he did not punch Frank Ocean in their public brawl at an L.A. recording studio on Jan. 27, and he is even saying he will go to the police to clear his name.
The plot thickens in the Frank Ocean and Chris Brown brawl story! The rival musicians fought outside of Westlake Studios in Los Angeles on Jan. 27, and reports from both camps have been pouring in, attempting to assign blame to each other. HollywoodLife.com previously reported that Chris allegedly punched Frank, but a new report says that Chris is denying punching anyone, saying that he is chomping at the bit to talk to the cops.
Breezy Wants To Talk To The Police About Brawl
When the two singers began their brawl, Chris allegedly knocked Frank unconscious, after he punched him repeatedly in the head. However, Chris is denying ever throwing a punch, and he is gagging to tell the cops what went down in the parking lot, reports TMZ.
Chris’ lawyer Mark Geragos has allegedly already contacted the police, and said that the singer is ready and willing to tell his side of the story because he knows he did nothing wrong, a source tells TMZ.
Furthermore, another source says that Chris’ side has a surveillance video of the last part of the fight, which proves that Chris did not hit anyone, but also that Frank did not hit anyone. The fighting occurred between their two entourages. The surveillance tape only reveals the end of the fight however, and it is impossible to tell the full extent of what went down in the parking lot before that, when Chris and Frank had their public brawl.
Chris Brown & Frank Ocean's Fight — Who’s To Blame?
Currently, it is still unclear as to who started the fight, but in a statement released from the Los Angeles Police Department, it looks like Chris is the guilty party.
"West Hollywood Station deputies are investigating allegations that Chris Brown assaulted an unnamed victim," reads a statement from the Los Angeles Police Department. "Deputies responded to a call of six males fighting. … Upon their arrival, deputies talked to witnesses who stated that Chris Brown and the victim were involved in an altercation over a parking space. The altercation allegedly led to Chris Brown punching the victim. After a brief fight, the parties were separated. Chris Brown and his entourage left the location prior to the arrival of deputies."
A source close to the situation told HollywoodLife.com that Chris' entourage started the fight by hurling homophobic slurs at Frank, while another report suggests Frank started the fight by insulting Chris’ on/off girlfriend, Rihanna.
Perhaps it would be wise for Chris to talk to the cops — it may be his only way of avoiding jail time, as he is still on probation following his 2009 assault on Rihanna.
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Should Chris talk to the cops? Who is guilty — him or Frank?
