After Chris Brown and Frank Ocean‘s fight outside of Westlake Studios in Los Angeles on Jan. 27, allegations are flying over who exactly started the fight that ended in Chris allegedly punching Frank. The initial report on TMZ claimed that Frank was to blame, while a source has told HollywoodLife.com exclusively that it was Chris who started it all. One person taking Chris’ side in the matter? His ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran!
On Jan. 28, Karrueche, 24, bluntly tweeted, “Don’t be so quick to assume.” While the tweet is rather vague, we’re pretty sure she’s commenting on allegations of Chris’ nasty behavior during the fight.
Chris Brown Started The Fight, An Insider Says
Chris, 23, and Frank, 25, fought over a parking spot outside the studio, at which time the “Don’t Wake Me Up” singer started shouting homophobic comments at openly-gay Frank. A source tells HollywoodLife.com that Chris was saying: "F*ck y'all gay a** n***as."
Our insider continued, "Yeah, Chris' car or whatever car he was rolling in was in a reserved spot. But no one was blocking him and security told him he couldn't park there and that's when some fool from his crew got wild and started acting crazy and tripping out on everybody. It was just crazy because they know better but they are so hood and it makes no sense. It's sad."
The LAPD’s Statement on Chris Brown & Frank Ocean’s Fight
The LAPD released a statement to HollywoodLife.com regarding the scuffle between the two men, saying, "West Hollywood Station deputies are investigating allegations that Chris Brown assaulted an unnamed victim. Deputies responded to a call of six males fighting at the 7200 block of Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood. Upon their arrival, deputies talked to witnesses who stated that Chris Brown and the victim were involved in an altercation over a parking space. The altercation allegedly led to Chris Brown punching the victim. After a brief fight, the parties were separated. Chris Brown and his entourage left the location prior to the arrival of deputies. The investigation is on-going and investigators will contact Chris Brown at a later time."
Chris is still probation from his 2009 assault on Rihanna, with one year left. Whether this alleged assault will affect the terms of his probation remains to be seen.
