A Washington man is accused of tying up his infant daughter and shooting her 36 times with a pellet gun. He is being held on suspicion of second-degree assault and unlawful imprisonment.
Stetson Tedder, 26, was arrested after he allegedly tied up his daughter, 4, and shot her repeatedly with a BB gun as punishment. The toddler’s grandmother alerted police when she noticed red marks all over her body.
The grandmother initially thought the red marks were chicken pox, but the girl later told her grandmother and a child interview specialist that she was punished for waking her stepdad up early.
The girl said he tied her wrists and ankles together with plastic zip ties and then shot her.
She also described other heinous tortures she had inflicted upon her, including being forced to sit against the wall in an uncomfortable position until her “legs and feet hurt real bad,” and having to pick up all the dirty clothes on her floor with her teeth.
Stetson Tedder Arrested On Suspicion Of Second-Degree Assault Of A Child
The man was arrested on Jan. 24 for suspicion of second-degree assault of a child and unlawful imprisonment for tying up and shooting the girl. He later admitted to using duct tape and zip ties from time to time as punishment.
A Sheriff’s Office report said the man "knowingly inflicted bodily harm, which by design caused pain as to the equivalent of that produced by torture."
Neighbor Rebecca Demmitt said she was shocked to find out that the girl had been abused.
"I have never seen or even thought there was any abuse involved," Tapia said. "If I was ever suspicious of anything like that, I would have reported it."
So sad. We hope the girl is safe now, and that justice is served. What do you think HollyMoms? Should the man spend years in jail?
