After arriving to court late on Jan. 30 with her new attorney Mark Heller, the actress has a trial date set for March 18 and she has to show up. Read on to find out what the judge said to her in the courtroom.

Lindsay Lohan is headed to trial! The actress showed had a court hearing on Jan. 30 in regards to her misdemeanor charges for lying to authorities and reckless driving in June of 2012. Judge Stephanie Sautner wasn’t too happy with Lindsay, who had tried to get out of coming to court because she claimed to be sick.

Why Lindsay Appeared In Court

Lindsay’s hearing was in order to set a trial date for her misdemeanor charges, stemming from her car crash along the Pacific Coast Highway. But the only reason she had to show up was because she has a new attorney, Mark Heller. We told you that Shawn Chapman Holley has bowed out and now the New York attorney has ponied up to take on LiLo’s legal problems.

Lindsay’s new court date is set for March 18 and she most show up.

The Judge Disses Lindsay & Her Attorney

Judge Sautner said: “This is a misdemeanor … she could have a trial and be acquitted and still be found in probation violation.”

When Mark Heller complemented the judge for having lived in New York and joked about her being a former detective she balked: “Flatter doesn’t get you anywhere in this court.”

Mr. Heller tried to tell the judge that it was impressive that his client flew all the way to LA when she wasn’t feeling well and the judge quipped: “Glad to see you’re feeling better … is that like a cold?” When Mark tried to say she had the flu she said: “The flu is a whole different task.”

Lindsay doesn’t have to show up in court again until her trial date on March 18. Lindsay has pleaded not guilty to lying to police, reckless driving and obstructing officers from performing their duties.

The judge said at the end of the hearing that she was retiring and that someone else would take on her case.
