The star paired a conservative little black dress with a bold pair of pumps that definitely aren’t appropriate for court! Do you think she’s taking her appearance seriously based on her latest outfit?

Lindsay Lohan loves turning the courtroom into her own personal runway, flaunting her cleavage, showing up in skin-tight minis and pricey designer duds. In fact, what she’s wearing almost seems to steal all of the attention away from LiLo’s legal troubles — almost. For her most recent appearance on Jan. 30 in LA, the 26-year-old star wore a fitted black dress that stopped right above the knee. The cap-sleeve frock had a conservative neckline, definitely making it one of her more appropriate court looks to date. Judging by the dress, it definitely looks like Lindsay is taking her appearance before the judge very seriously — however our opinion of her outfit totally changed once we saw her shoes!

While her printed, platform ankle-strap pumps were definitely eye-catching, they are so not appropriate for court! The clunky printed pumps are better suited for a night out on the town, as long as Lindsay isn’t getting behind the wheel. They don’t seem like optimal driving shoes and we all know LiLo can’t afford to take any chances when she’s in the driver’s seat. To quote the infamous Cher Horowitz, “You try driving in platforms!”

I have to give Lindsay credit, she definitely looks composed and ready to appear before the judge. Sweeping her hair back in a neat ponytail, her look was simple and conservative — especially compared to the slew of revealing looks she showed off back in 2011. I’m sure the star misses soaking up the spotlight on the red carpet, but walking into court isn’t the time to show off your sexy new get-up! It looks like LiLo finally got the message, although I wish she opted for a classic pair of pumps!

While I don’t think the star should have worn such a statement shoe, she will have a chance to redeem herself when she heads back to court for the beginning of her trial on Mar. 18 — and we can’t wait to see what she’ll wear for the occasion.

What do you think of Lindsay’s latest courtroom look? Do you think her conservative dress means she’s taking things seriously? How do you think her latest court look ranks against her other infamous outfits?
