New audio has been released that reveals the terrifying phone call one woman made to the police following the attempted shooting of rapper Rick.
Rick Ross is used to singing about “911″, but he’s not used them being called to come save him! Rick was driving his Rolls Royce in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. on Jan. 28 when he was chased by a gunman who was shooting at his car. Rick, 37, eventually crashed into a building, but thankfully no one was hurt. Now, the terrifying audio of the 911 call has been released, where a woman can be heard relaying the details of the shooting before hanging up to go hide. Listen here.
The 911 Audio About Rick Ross’ Shooting
A unidentified woman who witnessed the shooting made the 911 call from inside a restaurant: ”I just heard a bunch of gunshots go off … and a car sped by.”
The operator then began questioning the woman for more details, when she suddenly said: “Oh my god, they’re turning around and coming back … I’m hanging up.” The operator again pushed for more details, when the caller said: “They’re coming back … I’m hiding.”
How terrifying!

Details of Rick Ross’ Shooting
Dozens of shots were fired at Rick's vehicle at around 5am on Jan. 28, according to TMZ. None of the bullets hit the vehicle, but they did hit multiple buildings. Rick reportedly crashed when he tried escaping the gunfire, and the police have made no arrests and no suspects have been identified.
Detective DeAnna Garcia, of the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, exclusively tells HollywoodLife.com, "We are currently looking for members of the public to come forward with information. No one was arrested and we have no suspects. The victim (Rick Ross) co-operated with the with police on scene and was released. No one was injured or taken to hospital."
Rick has since been armed with 24-hour security, as the shooter has still not been identified or arrested.
