Syndicated Chatfest Katie Renewed for Season 2 Jan 30th 2013, 21:56 Disney-ABC Domestic Television has renewed Katie Couric‘s Katie for a second season. The daytime gabber, fronted and executive-produced by the former Today host and CBS Evening News anchor, debuted in September and airs in most of the country. Its premiere nabbed a 2.8 household rating, putting it on par with Dr. Phil‘s first episode for the best talk show debut in the last decade. Couric most recently made news by landing an exclusive interview with duped Notre Dame football star Manti Te’o and his parents.
