The Duggar family had to say goodbye to Joseph Duggar who celebrated his 18th birthday in combination with a touching going away party. And the battle of the bulge continued between Jim Bob Duggar, 47, and his eldest son Josh Duggar, 25.!
Joseph Duggar’s Buzz Cut, Birthday & Farewell Party
Young Joseph is getting ready to attend the International ALERT Team in Big Sandy, Texas, where he will train for nine whole weeks. ALERT stands for Air Land Emergency Rescue Team. Prior to leaving, mom Michelle Duggar gives him a haircut as the younger kids watch on. However, what started out as a haircut ends up as a buzz cut! But his adoring younger sisters all agree that “he looks great”.
Michelle and Jim Bob decide to have a huge birthday celebration for Joseph and combine it with a going away party. Family and friends take turns on the mic describing how proud they are of Joseph.
Jim Bob Gains Weight & Gets An Unexpected Visitor
Meanwhile, trainer Steve Conley made a surprise visit to the Duggar home for “a pantry inspection”. He wasn’t too happy about Jim Bob’s caramel flavored coffee on the shelves and questioned him about his eating habits. Jim Bob promises to be more “faithful in his diet” after he discovers that he has gained 4lbs after Steve puts him on the scale. Steve punished Jim Bob by making him work out extra hard and congratulated Josh for sticking to his diet.

John-David,23, has been learning how to fly airplanes and his dad thinks it’s a swell idea to have him, along with his flight instructor, fly Joseph to his boot camp. As the four men get into the small aircraft, the family says goodbye and little Jennifer Duggar,5, says goodbye to her big brother in her own special way…”See you soon baboon”.
