Katherine Russell has refused to talk to the FBI about her late husband Tamerlan Tsarnaev‘s involvement in the horrific Boston Marathon explosion, and it may be because she is still terrified of him, even in death. A top therapist EXCLUSIVELY tells HollywoodLife.com that Katherine “she stayed because she feared that there was no other way out.” So sad.
Katherine Russell Believed There Was ‘No Way Out’ Of Her Marriage
Dr Gilda Carle, the 30 second therapist from the Today Show, exclusively says to HollywoodLife.com that Katherine never left her abusive husband because she was too afraid to do so.
I treat many women who give up their personal power and their souls for what they consider to be “love.” They totally dismantle their sense of self. Katherine Russell fell for Tamerlan, became pregnant, and obviously thought there was no way out. So she swallowed the bullet, married him, and converted to his religion, obviously believing that this is the way to keep a guy. However, it is not. Nothing suited him, and whenever a glimpse of self began to rise, she got into screaming matches with him, within earshot of the neighbors. But he had temper tantrums, throwing things, including furniture, at her.
He had a history of slapping around women. In fact, the cleric he admired believed that women who are raped deserve it. So, with that attitude, it’s no wonder he called his wife “whore” and “prostitute.” His teachings were misogynous, and that’s how he treated the women in his life.
Like any abused wife, she stayed because she feared that there was no other way out. Eventually, abused women are so emotionally beaten down, they forget that they ever had any self-esteem. When her friends from school and even her family saw her a few years later, they were shocked.
I shudder at the thought of how their daughter will grow up, with a scared mother and no father.
Katherine is truly one of the victims in this story, as she was totally unaware of her husbands actions, and spent years being afraid of him.
