The royal couple has settled on a name for their baby girl, due in July — and it’s not a traditional royal moniker! Read on to find out what they chose.
As Kate Middleton and Prince William prepare to welcome their first child in July, they have already made one of the most difficult decisions as parents — picking out the name! An insider reveals what proud parents-to-be have finally chosen as their baby’s moniker.
Kate & William’s Baby Name Revealed
Even though the royal couple hasn’t officially revealed that they are expecting a girl, a close family friend tells OK! magazine the royal baby will indeed be a girl. And they already have her name picked out — Alexandra!
“They love the name. Wills has even tried it out when he talks to Kate’s baby bump,” the source says.
Alexandra is a more unconventional option than Diana or Elizabeth, which were believed to be the front-runners for the royal baby moniker, but it still is a salute to William’s family. His grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, has the middle name Alexandra!
Kate & William Expecting A Baby Girl
The excited mom-to-be almost let it slip in March that she was expecting a girl, and friends have even seen the Duchess of Cambridge checking out girl-appropriate baby gear!
“Friends have caught Kate looking at photos of baby clothes for girls, and their nursery seems to be getting pinker by the day,” the insider says.
