'The Originals' Scoop: Daniel Gillies Previews 'The Beginning Of A War' Dec 5th 2001, 00:00 xxx That place vibrates with history. It has a beautiful, haunted wealth of spirit. It’s one of the most mystical places on earth. The music there is unparalleled, the food is to die for. I’m kind of grateful we won’t be filming there, even if it does go to series — it looks like we’ll be filming in Atlanta, and occasionally going to New Orleans for exteriors — because if I lived in New Orleans, it’s so decadent, I would die. First of all, I’d be 500 pounds by the end of the first season. And second of all, it’s just too-damn fun. It’s always this jubilant party.
