Following Cory’s recent admission to rehab, Matthew’s character Mr. Shuester had to be written into extra scenes in the ‘Glee’ finale to make up for Finn’s absence. Read on for all the exclusive details!
After Cory Monteith checked himself into rehab for substance abuse, Glee still had two episodes left to shoot for season four, and it seemed certain that Cory’s character Finn would not be in them. HollywoodLife.com can now exclusively confirm that Cory will not be in the final episodes of the season, and instead regular cast member Matthew Morrison will fill in for him. Read on to find out how this will affect Finchel’s future!
‘Glee’ Season Four Finale Will Be Finn-less
“Matthew was written into new scenes at the last minute to make up for Cory Monteith’s absence from the show,” a source from the show tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “No word yet on how Finn and Rachel’s (Lea Michele) story line will play out with him unable to appear on the final two episodes.”
Oh lord! Let’s hope things work out for Finchel — a permanent split would be too heart breaking! However, it looks certain that we will see Finn in season five.
"Cory is a beloved member of the Glee family and we fully support his decision to seek treatment," Glee producer 20th Century Fox TV said in a statement. "Everyone at the show wishes him well and looks forward to his return."
Cory entered rehab for substance abuse on March 31.
"Cory Monteith has voluntarily admitted himself into a treatment facility for substance addiction," his rep said. "He graciously asks for your respect and privacy as he takes the necessary steps towards recovery."
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Will you miss Finn in the season finale?
