Kevin sat down with Josh Elliot of ‘Good Morning America’ on Apr. 4 and continued to show his courage and amazing fearlessness. But he admitted that there was one challenge he’d never tackle. Keep reading for more details.

Over the past few days, Kevin Ware has followed one brave act with another. After gruesomely breaking his leg in multiple places, he willed his Louisville team to win, underwent a two-hour surgery, and stood on crutches less than a day later. But there’s one thing he’ll never do — watch video of his horrific injury.

Kevin Ware Refuses To Watch Replays

Kevin insisted that he is already moving towards recovery to Good Morning America’s Josh Elliot, and recovery doesn’t include replays. “I feel like if I see the video it’d just haunt me mentally from where I need to be,” Kevin said. “That’s the last thing I want if I’m gonna be on the basketball court again.”

You can’t blame Kevin for feeling that way — it’s hard for us to watch the video, just imagine what it’d feel like for him! And he doesn’t need to become tentative or scared to use his right leg while rehabbing.

He needs to stay at full confidence, where he seems to be right now. Without any doubt, Kevin ended his interview with Josh by telling him, “I’ll be back next season.”

Kevin Ware: Louisville Player Could Be Back In Six Months, Doctor Says

Doctors told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that Kevin surprisingly has a right to be optimistic. “I think this will take about six months to recover, and he could be back on the court that quick,” says Dr. Glashow, co-chief of sports medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center.

The doctor says that Kevin’s clean bone break is actually easier to recover from than tearing knee ligaments. “He is very lucky the fracture is not at a joint, that would be much more problematic and this is a clean break.” You definitely couldn’t know that from just seeing the injury, that’s for sure!

Kevin’s story has gone from tragic to inspirational in less than a week. We’re excited to follow him along on his way back to full health.
