Demi Lovato rocked the cool mani for an appearance on LIVE With Kelly and Michael in New York City on April. She Instagrammed the pic, saying: “Love it!!!! @thisisprima@the_new_blackTV,” referencing her nail artist and the polished used. We’re sharing a step-by-step tutorial with you below!
Half Moon Nails — Get Demi’s Look
Username @thisisprima is Christina Rinaldi, Prima Creative’s Creative Director & Conceptual Nail Artist, and she posted a pic of Demi’s cool mani, saying: “#nudeblack #halfmoon #nails for the incrediblely talented @ddlovato.”

To get the look, choose the two polish colors you want to use. It’s best to use opposite colors like black and white or black and nude, like Demi.
First, apply a clear base coat. Next, apply the color you want for the bottom of your nail bed. Allow to dry completely — 20 to 30 minutes. Next apply stickers to coat the “moon” part of your nail bed. The easiest stickers to use are hole-punched reinforcement stickers, available at any office supply store for about $2.
Paint on two coats of your tip color and allow to completely dry. Again, the longer the better so you don’t have to start over. Carefully pull off the stickers. Apply a clear top coat to seal. Voila!
