First Rihanna, now JT! Police were been called to Justin’s Hollywood Hills home in what appears to be another swatting prank!
Poor Justin Timberlake! The singer is the latest victim in a string of swatting pranks that have been sweeping through Hollywood.
Police were called to JT’s Hollywood Hills home after an unidentified caller reported that four men broke into the house and fired two shots, TMZ reports. The caller also added that the intruders left a box with red blinking lights in the singer’s home. LAPD is currently on the way to Justin’s house.
Defined by Urban Dictionary, swatting is "a goal achieved by hacking where the hacker tricks 911 systems into deploying SWAT to an unsuspecting victim's home under false pretenses."
Other Swatting Prank Victims: Rihanna, Chris Brown & More
Justin isn’t the only celeb to have a swatting prank pulled on him this week, Rihanna also had the cops called to her house on April 4. Somebody made a 911 call claiming that two men had entered Rihanna’s Pacific Palisades home, and that someone had been shot, TMZ reported. When LAPD arrived on the scene, they confirmed that the call was just another swatting prank.
On January 22, a 911 call was made claiming there was a domestic incident at Chris Brown‘s Hollywood home. When police arrived at Chris’ home and discovered Chris wasn’t even there, they realized the call was a joke.
Kim Kardashian and her family were also victims of swatting on January 18. Cops arrived at Kris Jenner and Bruce Jenner‘s home after a shooting was reported.
"Just got a call from my mom telling me about this prank call that someone was shot in their home & 15 swat team & 3 helicopters showed up!" Kim tweeted. “These prank calls are NOT funny! People can get arrested for this! I hope they find out who is behind this. Its dangerous & not a joke!”
