It’s never easy to watch someone you love struggle, but Lea is turning to her parents to keep her spirits up while Cory is in rehab.
Lea Michele has been standing by her boyfriend, Cory Monteith, during his dark times. Cory has battled with substance abuse for a while and was reportedly given an ultimatum by his girlfriend to get help or their relationship would come to an end. Cory chose to get treatment and now Lea is calling upon mom and dad for support.
Lea Michelle: Parents Lend Her Support
Lea and her parents dined at Sugarfish restaurant in LA on April 11. The Glee star treated mom and dad to a delicious sushi dinner, likely as thanks for standing by her in this tough time. Even celebs need their mom every now and then! Hopefully Lea’s parents can help to keep her strong as her boyfriend works towards sobriety.
Cory Monteith Goes To Rehab
Cory decided that his substance abuse was not worth losing Lea over, and checked himself into rehab in order to save his relationship. Lea has been very open about her support for her man, and has stood by him since the beginning. The two care very deeply for one another and their actions definitely show it.
A source told OK!, "Cory did it for her as much as he did it for himself. He sees a future with Lea, he cares about her, and he has seen what happens to people he loves when he spirals out of control. He has come too far to let that happen again."
