Poor R-Patz! Guy Pearce revealed in a new interview that Rob initially had a very hard time while filming ‘The Rover’ in Australia. Keep reading to find out exactly what was bothering him Down Under!
Robert Pattinson was obviously taken out of his comfort zone by his role in The Rover. Not only did he have to shed his dapper, distinguished style for the down and dirty role, he also had to get accustomed to living (alone) in Australia!
Robert Pattinson ‘Struggled’ While Filming ‘The Rover’
At the Iron Man 3 premiere on April 24, Rob’s Rover co-star, Guy Pearce, was asked what it was like welcoming R-Patz to his homeland Australia. “Well,” Guy said breaking out in laughter, “He struggled with the flies and the heat,” Guy revealed. Come to think of it, the pictures of Rob filming The Rover definitely didn’t look too glamorous — he seemed to spend most of his time rolling around in the dirt and getting roughed up.
Guy admitted that it took some time before Rob became accustomed to the change of scenery. “I didn’t man him up, but the others manned him up,” Guy said. Our imaginations are officially running wild thinking of what “man him up” could mean.
Robert Pattinson Eventually ‘Had A Nice Time’ In Australia
Thankfully, it all ended up working out, as Rob eventually “manned up” and overcame his struggles. “He had a nice time,” Guy admitted. “He had a pretty good time, I’d say.”
Rob must have been so happy to finally bat the flies away from his face and reunite with Kristen Stewart when he returned to Los Angeles at the end of March. After having such a tough time Down Under, K-Stew was no doubt a welcome sight.
