The former MLB star is under investigation in Las Vegas for sexual assault after a woman claimed she was raped by him, according to a new report. Jose says the accusation is completely false!
An unidentified woman, believed to be a fitness instructor who lives in Las Vegas, claims she was raped by Jose Canseco on May 10. She’s filed a report with the Las Vegas Metro Police Department and the former MLB star is under investigation.
Jose Canseco: I’m Innocent
Jose’s investigation became public after the former baseball player discussed it on his social media account on Twitter, according to USA Today.
Jose tweeted on May 22, “[The accuser] told police that I druged [sic] her and then raped her. hmmmmm. lets find out what really happened.”
He then said, “Who wants to spend a day with jose. Come into my world if u can handle it. Lets play truth or dare. I dare susie bell to tell the truth.”
No Charges Filed — Investigation Underway
No charges have been filed and no arrest has been made, USA Today reports.
The former Oakland Athletics slugger hit 462 home runs during a career that spanned from 1985 to 2001.
