Angelina Jolie looked effortlessly chic when she braved the black carpet at the World War Z premiere in London on June 2 at the Empire Cinema in Leicester Square, where the 37-year-old star opted for a custom-made black Saint Laurent gown. Angie practically stole the spotlight standing next to her fiance, Brad Pitt, marking her first public appearance since she shared the news of her preventable double mastectomy with the world on May 14.

If Angie was nervous about her return to the red carpet it certainly didn’t show. The actress looked fantastic in the black gown. A low back allowed her to show some skin and balanced out the high neckline of the silhouette, while sheer cutouts across her midriff allowed Angie to show off her toned tummy. With her brown locks straight and styled to one side, the star sported minimal makeup and left the accessories to a minimum, keeping the focus on her figure in the dress.
Angelina openly discussed her decision on the black carpet, saying, “I have been very happy just to see the discussion about women’s health expanded, and that means the world to me and after losing my mom to these issues. I am very grateful for it, and I have been very moved by the kind support from people, really, very grateful for it.”
