Henry Cavill On The Weight Of The Role Of Superman
When Henry, who is best known for his role as the sexy Charles Brandon on The Tudors, was named as the newest Clark Kent/Superman, we knew we’d found our next superhero hunk. At the premiere, Henry talked to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY about tackling the role of such an iconic character.
It's an honor and very, very humbling but I didn't allow any kind of external pressure to weigh on me when I was researching the role and acting. I just tried to do the best job I could possibly do and do justice to the character.
With the Christopher Reeves version of the role dubbed a classic and the okay 2005 Superman Returns, it could have been difficult to create a fresh spark in the franchise. However, Henry told HollywoodLife.com that this film creates a different kind of journey than the previous films.
"What sets this [film] aside though in hindsight is that it's very much based in reality. So, in a real world setting we get to have a different kind of emotional journey while watching the movie.
Kevin Costner On The Film’s ‘Epic’ Proportions
With a long and esteemed career, Kevin has seen and starred in his share of classic films. Kevin talked to HollywoodLife.com about how this particular film sets itself apart.
Every time you make a film you hope that it separates itself. Every time you make a film, you hope that it's a classic and that it endures. And in this instance, it was epic and sometimes epic can overshadow the smallest details that want to seep into a film and, in a sense, make a classic and I think that we've maybe have made one. A big epic that's classic.
Cooper Timberline Is The Cutest Kid You Haven’t Met Yet

My mom picked me up from school and she drove into this alley and she picked up this bag, with tears in her eyes, and showed me an old Superman comic, and she gave it to me and then I opened it up and I was like "Did I get the part?" and she was like "Yeah!"
