This is it — the last chance for the final three acts to prove that they should be the winner of ‘The Voice.’ Could Blake’s team win for the third time in a row, or will Usher’s Michelle Chamuel prove that there is such a thing as beginner’s luck?
It’s coming down to the wire on The Voice. Finalists Michelle Chamuel, Danielle Bradbery and the Swon Brothers all sang for the win this week. On June 17, we saw the coaches interact with their artist’s families. Then each artist sang three times — one performance that their coach joined in on!
The Swon Brothers Pick Up Tempo
The coaches opened up the show with a rockin’ performance of “With A Little Help From My Friends,” before the competition began.
Then the show really began to heat up. Team Blake Shelton kicked it off, with the Swon Brothers taking on The Eagles “Can’t Tell You Why,” one of my all-time favorite songs. While Zach sung the lead and played piano, his brother Colton added in the falsetto that made the Eagles so famous– and the brothers completely pulled it off. Even Shakira was waving a “Go Oakies” flag!
For their reprise song — a song that each coach chose as the artist’s defining moment to perform again — they sang “Danny’s Song,” nailing it for the second time. However, was it a strong choice to do two ballads on the last night?
They made it up for it on their last performance — they sang Brad Paisley‘s “Celebrity” with their coach, and showed how much fun they could have — it made anyone who had doubts think again!
Michelle Chamuel Continues Versatile Performances
Usher‘s team member Michelle took the stage to reprise one of her best performances yet — “I Knew You Were Trouble.” We all remember that that was a definite defining moment, and Michelle wow’d us all with another performance of the hit.
Then she took on Annie Lenox, performing a very challenging song, “Why,” with the help of a background choir. Usher was extremely proud, but she wasn’t the only one! Shakira even put on the glasses to show her support! However, Blake was still confused about a ridiculous mirror trick in the beginning of the performance.
Her last performance of the night was with her coach, singing “One,” which really was perfect for them as they have grown so close over the past three months.
Danielle Bradbery Steals Adam Levine’s Heart
16-year-old Danielle Bradbery started off with a duet with her coach, Blake. They performed “Timber,” in an adorable full-country performance, and their voices sounded amazing together!
Her second song of the night was a reprise of “Maybe It Was Memphis.” By performing the song a second time, we saw how much Danielle had grown over her time on The Voice. Shakira rocked out in a cowboy hat (showing she supported each and every artist) while Danielle nailed each and every note!
Adam Levine loved Shakira’s look — and loved Danielle’s performance even more. He even admitted that he felt that she would win the whole thing. Naturally, Blake loved hearing that.
It seemed they kept the best for last. Danielle took the stage to sing “Born To Fly” — her first really uptempo song ever. She really took a risk here … and it was worth it! When she hit that last note, Blake was out of his chair! Adam even said he was getting bored with how perfect she had been!
Top 16 Perform ‘Home’
The final three seem to have become a family themselves — they put on a performance of “Home,” and looked like they were having a great time! Then came the surprise — they were joined by the other top acts from this season! That’s right, all our favorites were back when the full top 16 performed!
