What will happen now that Hank knows Walt’s secret? The cast previewed the final eight episodes of ‘Breaking Bad’ in San Diego.

As it heads into its final eight episodes, the cast of Breaking Bad – Bryan Cranston (Walter White), Aaron Paul (Jesse Pinkman), Anna Gunn (Skyler White), Dean Norris (Hank Schrader), Betsy Brandt (Marie Schrader), R. J. Mitte (Walter Jr.) and Bob Odenkirk (Saul Goodman) — came to Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con on July 21 to hint at the events that remain in season five.

‘Breaking Bad’ At Comic-Con — A Preview Of The Final Eight Episodes

To the delight of fans, AMC showed the opening scene of the first episode that will air when the show returns on August 11.

Things are wildly different from the last time we saw TV’s favorite meth dealer, his friends and family. In the clip, the White family house is abandoned, and teenagers are now using the empty pool as a skate park.

Walt is seen outside the house and he looks much older. His clothes are disgustingly dirty and his car looks like a beater. In the trunk is an assault rifle and crowbar.

Walt grabs the crowbar and heads inside the house that he once called home. “HEISENBERG” is graffitied on a wall in large, bold, yellow letters. Walt unscrews a wall outlet faceplate to find something taped to its underside. Walt catches his reflection in a mirror and takes a moment to ponder his less than desirable transformation.

Outside, a neighbor spots Walt and freezes in terror, as he returns to his car. “Hello Carol,” Walt says, and she drops her bag full of groceries.

“I am satisfied by the ending,” executive producer Vince Gilligan says during the panel. “I hope you will be too.”

Bryan Cranston & Aaron Paul: What’s Next For Their Characters

So what’s to come for Walt in the final eight episodes?  ”He’s in the empire business. His ego is peaking. He’s never felt this before in his life. To have this kind of power as an adult. It got to him. He succumbed to it like it was an aphro and he’s helpless really in that sense now,” Bryan says.

Thanks to Walt, his sidekick Jesse, “has been through a lot,” Aaron says. “Going into the final season of this show he’s terrified of this man.”

“He was just this lost kid … struggling to find his way, searching, in desperate need of some guidance, and he finds Walter White. Now he just wants to stay as far away from him as possible and try to stay alive,” he continues.

The final eight episodes certainly sound like they’re going to be intense!
