The proud grandparents officially got to meet HRH Prince of Cambridge! Carole and Michael Middleton were beaming as they entered St. Mary’s Hospital on July 23, and revealed just how gorgeous the little bundle of joy is!
As Kate Middleton, 31, and husband Prince William, 31, enjoy their last few hours of privacy with their bundle of joy at St. Mary’s Hospital, the Royal Baby got a welcome visit from his grandparents, Carole and Michael Middleton!
Royal Baby’s Grandparents Visit — Kate Middleton’s Parents At St. Mary’s
Kate’s parents arrived at the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s hospital on July 23, and couldn’t stop smiling as they walked in to meet their new grandchild. Although they didn’t stop and answer any questions on their way in, proud grandma Carole gushed about the new prince. “We are thrilled,” she said.
Carole said the royal baby is “absolutely beautiful,” and the new parents are doing “fabulously.”
The Duchess’ parents were the first set of grandparents to visit the HRH Prince of Cambridge, but the royal couple asked for the Middletons to be the first visitors, according to the Daily Mail.
Although Prince Charles and his wife Camilla Parker Bowles haven’t yet met their grandson, Charles released a statement on July 22 after the birth:
Both my wife and I are overjoyed at the arrival of my first grandchild. It is an incredibly special moment for William and Catherine and we are so thrilled for them on the birth of their baby boy. Grandparenthood is a unique moment in anyone's life, as countless kind people have told me in recent months, so I am enormously proud and happy to be a grandfather for the first time and we are eagerly looking forward to seeing the baby in the near future.
Kate Middleton & Prince William: When Will They Leave The Hospital?
While the new parents are still posted up in the hospital, it is expected that they will make their grand exit with their baby boy in the evening of July 23 or in the morning of July 24, London time. They still stand on the steps of St. Mary’s, and pose for photos with their baby boy. We can’t wait until we get to finally see him!
Still, no work on the little guy’s name yet!
