Robert Pattinson may have been playing host for his elaborate Great Gatsby-themed party June 22, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t have time to chit-chat about possible major acting roles! In fact, the Twilight star reportedly spoke with Fifty Shades of Grey author E.L. James about the sexy sought-after role of Christian Grey. Rob as Christian? Totally swoon-worthy!

Rob may have been surrounded by dozens of A-list partygoers, but he made time to talk with the best-selling author, as a source tells OK! that “Rob and E.L. were in deep conversation.”
“Rob also joked that it would be the best acting of his life, because there is no way he is that confident in real life,” the eyewitness adds.
We think he could definitely pull off the uber charming and masochistic role of Christian!
Rob also added that he would have to clean up his scruffy look to play the immaculate Mr. Grey, and the source tells OK! that “E.L. said that was still up for debate — if he signed on.”
