So scary! Cranbury Elementary School in Norwalk, Conn. went under lockdown on Sept. 4 after a report that shots were fired in the surrounded area.
A teacher called in a report around 11:20 a.m. reporting that they heard shots fired nearby in Cranbury Acres Park, which is directly next to the school, The Daily Voice reports. The school was placed under lockdown as precaution.

It’s a scary day at Cranbury Elementary School, which went under lockdown after a teacher reported hearing gunshots outside.
Police have arrived to the school and are searching the area, in and around the school. They have not yet identified the source, but have spoken with people and officers nearby who did not hear anything.
“We didn’t find any indication that there were shots fired in the area,” Thomas E. Kulhawik, Norwalk Chief of Police said.
Police are also looking into the construction happening nearby.
No injuries have been reported yet, and some parents have arrived at the school. We will continue to keep you posted as more details of the story develop.
