Poor Alison! Almost a year after she accidentally sent out a topless picture of herself to her 14,000 Twitter followers, the ‘Newsroom‘ star revealed on ‘Conan’ that she was totally mortified by the incident.
The topless twitpic Alison Pill posted in September, 2012 came back to haunt her once again during an interview with late night host Conan O’Brien. Read on for more details!
Alison Pill’s Topless Twitpic — It Was 'Hideously Embarrassing'
Conan asked Alison, 27, about the ”embarrassing technical snafu” when she appeared on his show on Sept. 3, according to E! Online. Luckily, after almost a year, Alison has developed a sense of humor about the infamous pic of her laying in bed topless, which was actually intended for her then-fiancee Jay Baruchel (the couple have since split).
“It’s a fascinating story involving not knowing that my new BlackBerry had a touch screen and responding to somebody on Twitter like, ‘Oh yeah, New York was great, it’s 9:30 on a Wednesday, also, apropos of nothing, here are my boobs!’” Alison joked.
How embarrassing! Still, we’re glad Alison isn’t taking the pic too seriously. And it seems like she learned her lesson — next time she’ll be more careful when she tries to send her significant other a naked picture!
“And now I realize just how dumb and so embarrassing, so hideously embarrassing that for about three months after it happened…anytime I met a new person I [kept thinking], ‘Boobs! Nice to meet you, you’ve seen my boobs.’ It’s not even the case,” Alison said.
Maybe Alison’s Newsroom character, Maggie, is rubbing off on her. This totally seems like something Maggie would do!

It may have taken Alison a year to fully explain the snafu, but she owned up to her mistake right away in September, 2012, telling fans it was a “tech issue.”
“Yep. That picture happened. Ugh. My tech issues have now reached new heights, apparently. How a deletion turned into a tweet… Apologies,” she tweeted.
Her then-fiancee Jay even commented on the pic, tweeting, ”My fiancée is an hilarious dork. #imjustgladitdidnthappentomefirst.” At least he was being supportive!
All we can say is be more careful with your phone, Alison!
