Get a sneak peak of the September 5 HONOR Spring 2014 fashion show through the eyes of HollywoodLife.com with tips from the hair and makeup artists themselves!

Steering far from the usual unkempt yet maintained runway look, HONOR‘s fashion show astounded us with their clean and sophisticated look this season. With the help of soft and hazy makeup, the whimsical look HONOR designer Giovanna Randall conceptualized was achieved and now you re-create the look at home.

HONOR’s Runway — Beauty Inspiration Was Rolling In The Fields

Hairstylist James Pecis described the look to HollywoodLife.com as young and playful but something that evolves into a sophisticated look.

“They came to me and said that they want something that would represent where one thing ends, something new begins. It's supposed to be an optimistic, positive view on that. You know, sometimes things in life end -– like a break up, but is actually a good thing.”

As a result, “the final look is a side ponytail, off to the left side, pulled semi-smooth with some texture. So that's where one thing finishes. Where it starts — it's going to be curled and we added a little bit of volume through the ends.”

To get this look, blow dry hair using the T3Featherweight Luxe 2i, while spraying PHYTO Phytovolume Actif Volumizer Spray on the roots in layers to prep the hair while creating strength and memory for hold. This new product instantly became a favorite of James!

“It doesn’t flake, which makes me happy and I like to use a lot of it! It works really well.”

Next, create a side part, back comb the sides. Pull hair over the ears and then pull it into a side ponytail. Then, using the 1 1/4″ T3 SinglePass Twirl Curling Iron, set individual pieces into pin curls.

The tiny, metallic flowers used in the models’ hair can be bought from Mia Beauty.

Makeup — Soft and Feminine

Makeup artist Romy Soleimani shares her secrets on achieving the runway look with HollywoodLife.com.

Eyes: “It’s all about this hazy shape, almost as if looking through a piece of chiffon, no define edges or lines…nothing severe or hard, just really hazy and soft.” Kevyn Aucoin brushes are recommended to best achieve this look.

Products used to get the exact look:

  • Kevyn Aucoin The Precision Brow Pencil
  • Kevyn Aucoin The Eye Shadow Single #105
  • Kevyn Aucoin The Eye Shadow Single #106
  • Kevyn Aucoin The Eye Shadow Duo #203 (fog/cool smoke)
  • Kevyn Aucoin The Eye Shadow Duo #211 (pink shell/deep taupe)
  • Kevyn Aucoin The Volume Mascara
  • Kevyn Aucoin The Loose Shimmer Shadow in Kunzite (Available on Beauty.com in Spring 2014)

Romy’s own techniques and tips for creating this hazy eye shape are as follows:

  • Begin using a smaller brush first then go over it with a bigger brush
  • Then use a concealer brush to rim lower lashes

Lips: Similar to some of the “chiffony” colors in the collection, a pale mauve color for the lips was used to pull the look together.

  • Kevyn Aucoin The Matte Lip Color in Persistence
  • Kevyn Aucoin the Matte Lip Color in Evermore
  • Kevyn Aucoin The Flesh Tone Lip Pencil in Medium

Nailed It — The Inspiration

Deborah Lippmann’s runway nail-art was inspired by a Tabitha Simmons shoe. It was a mid-length pointed nail, with a Swarovski rhinestone pyramid at the base of the nail. This look is easily attainable with Deborah’s own tips!

  • Paint entire nail using two coats of her “La Vie En Rose” (available on Beauty.com Spring 2014)
  • Place 6 small rhinestones in a pyramid shape (3, 2, 1) starting at the base moving up towards the center of the nail using an orange stick
  • Finish with Deborah Lippmann’s Gel Lap Top Coat
