The style-savvy First Lady recycled a sequin dress — and she looked fantastic!
Michelle Obama started off her second term as the fashionable First Lady in a sequin cocktail dress, stealing the show in her form-fitting frock! The glittering dress hugged her frame and the sleeveless silhouette allowed Michelle to show off one of her best assets, her toned arms, when she arrived at an inaugural reception for the 57th Presidential Inauguration at The National Building Museum on Jan. 20 in Washington, D.C. — not only did she look stunning, but she also opted to re-wear a frock that has been hanging in her closet for four years!
Michelle is so style-savvy and she loves re-wearing, so it comes as no surprise that she showed off something she has worn before for the big night. The First Lady stepped out in a sequin Michael Kors boat-neck dress — a look we first saw on Michelle back in September 2009. The first time the First Lady wore the frock, she pinned her hair back and paired the evening dress with statement chandelier earrings. This time around, however, she stepped out sparkling and showed off her brand new bangs, with her hair styled in her signature bob. A bunch of embellished bangles added the finishing touches to her ensemble.
The First Lady often shows her support for American designers, and Michael Kors is definitely one of her favorites, so it comes as no surprise that she re-wore the sequin sheath. It’s so great that she showed off a dress we’ve seen her wear before — she’s so down-to-earth! Do you think she would re-wear on Inauguration Day?
While we’ve already seen Michelle in a custom-made, checkered Thom Browne coat and dress, we are still anxiously waiting to see what look Michelle will debut for the Inaugural Ball. Will she wear one of her favorite designers or show off a new name? Regardless of what she decides to wear, there’s no denying the fact that she’ll look stunning! Do you agree?
