Michelle Obama, 49, was nothing short of perfection for the swearing-in of her husband’s second presidential inauguration. The First Lady debuted brand new bangs a few days before the event and is wearing the full fringe so well! President Obama used the first public remarks of his second term to address what he called the "most significant" event of this weekend: his wife's much-talked-about new haircut. "I love her bangs," Obama told supporters at an inaugural reception at the National Building Museum. "She looks good. She always looks good."
First lady Michelle Obama unveiled her new haircut in a White House photo released last Thursday for her 49th birthday. Michelle bangs have been the hottest topic of the inaugural celebration. The fringe has been the talk of the town–and the world.
At the official swearing-in January 20, Mrs. Obama, wearing a black sequined cocktail dress and showcasing her new hairdo, also showered her husband with compliments. "Let me tell you, it has just been a true thrill to watch this handsome, charming individual grow into the man and the president that he is," she said, as she reached to playfully touch the president's face, to which the crowd laughed. After praising his compassion and courage, Michelle referred to the president as the "love of her life."
The public swearing-in ceremony will be held on the west front of the U.S. Capitol, with the first attendees arriving at 9 a.m. ahead of the ceremony, which kicks off at 11 a.m. Myrlie Evers-Williams, the widow of slain civil rights leader Medgar Evers, will deliver the invocation before Obama is sworn in by Chief Justice John G. Roberts.
