Nina Dobrev: Here Are Some Styling Tips For Your New Bangs Feb 1st 2013, 20:33 The star took to Twitter with quite the coif quandary: how to style her brand new bangs! Well, Nina, we’ve got some great styling advice for you below! Nina Dobrev, 24, recently cut bangs and they look so sexy! But as it turns out, her fringe has proven quite feisty. Nina wrote on her Twitter page, “Ok I am lovinnnngggg my new haircut/bangs…But after 10yrs of long hair, I dont knw how to do it myself. Ha! bangs are a full-time job..” How To Style Bangs Nina went on to say, “Ok… Being introduced to the “round brush” and “Velcro hair roller”? Apparently these are the keys to successful bang-ing?” Well, Nina, for bangs that have a bit of volume, velcro rollers and a round brush are the exact tools you need for the task. When your hair is fine and silky like Nina’s, bangs can have a tendency to fall flat and look plastered to your face. If you take a large round brush and curl them away from your face as you blow them dry, you’ll create instant lift. For extra volume, after blow drying, set your bangs in an over-sized velcro roller, curling them away from your face. Hold your blow dryer on the roller for 30 seconds and then let set for 5 minutes or until hair is cool. Here’s another trick to get unruly bangs to cooperate: If you have a blunt style, as you blow them dry, use a flat paddle brush and go from side to side. This will help give them a bit of lift and take out any cowlicks so they lay flat against your forehead. While using styling products on your bangs can be tricky (you don’t want them to look greasy, stiff or sticky), a flexible, lightweight hairspray can help keep them in place.
