The former ‘Idol’ judge’s new look would put even the best drag queens to shame!
Former American Idol judge Steven Tyler, 65, shocked judges and viewers Feb. 1 when he made a surprise appearance on the show. But he wasn’t there as himself; dressed fully in drag, he came to audition under his drag-queen alias, ”Pepper LaBeija!”
American Idol has had its share of drama lately, but Steven brought on the laughs last night! He walked on set in his heels, a dress, a blond wig, a new chest, full makeup and even a manicure! He may not have been as cute as some other contestants, but his look was memorable!
He was ready to sing his heart out to the new judges as “Pepper LaBeija.” This is the same name as the famous drag queen that starred in the 1990s documentary Paris Is Burning.
He may have tried to fool the judges, but they were already on to him and couldn’t keep a straight face!
Instead of giving us a moving performance, Steven gave the new judges advice, saying, “I’m gonna judge your a** first. The roosters may crow, but the hens deliver the goods.”
He eventually broke character after Nicki Minaj, 31, called out his name. After asking if he was going to Hollywood, Randy Jackson, 57, urged him to sing.
Instead, he squeezed his new chest and took off his wig, saying, “I just wanted to say hello, everybody. I love you. I tried so hard.” He then held his head dramatically and said, “no Hollywood.”
He also made an interesting exit by lifting up his dress to the judges.
Probably for the first time in American Idol history, Steven got a ticket to Hollywood without even singing! He then put his blonde wig on Ryan Seacrest.
With beautiful natural locks, we think that Steven could have gone without the wig — but what do you think Hollywoodlifers? Does Steven make a pretty lady?
