The fashionable First Lady is set to grace the April 2013 issue of the mag, which also happens to be the annual ‘Shape’ issue — and we’re sure she’ll look stunning!

Right after the Inauguration, rumors swirled that the Vogue team descended upon the White House to shoot Michelle Obama for her second Vogue cover — and it looks like the shoot was for the April 2013 issue of the mag! Considering that the April edition is the annual ‘Shape’ issue, it gives the First Lady the perfect platform to discuss her ‘Let’s Move’ initiative. According to the Washington Post, Michelle will wear one of her fave designers, Reed Krakoff, on the cover. Considering she turned to the designer for her second official portrait and her her hubby’s latest swearing-in, this choice comes as no surprise — but that’s not the only label the fashionable First Lady is planning to sport!

Additionally, the Post says the shoot will feature a ball skirt and sweater by Michael Kors, (another one of Michelle’s go-to designers).

When we first shared the reports that the Vogue team set up camp, it was rumored that famed photog Annie Leibovitz captured the First Lady — and the Post is confirming reports that Annie was behind the lens.

Michelle first found herself on the cover of Vogue back in 2009, on the March issue — and initial rumors speculated that the fashionable First Lady would cover the March 2013 edition, although clearly that wasn’t the case. Instead, we got a major dose of Beyonce — and we certainly aren’t complaining about that! Considering that Michelle and Beyonce are both each other’s biggest fans, it’s almost fitting that their Vogue covers would come out back-to-back.

While we certainly can’t wait to see Michelle’s second cover, we’re wondering whether she opted to wear looks right out of her closet or if the clothes were pulled specifically for the shoot — either way we’re expecting Michelle’s personal sense of style to shine right through!

What do you think? Are you excited to see the First Lady land her second cover for the fashion mag?
