Known for her sassy sense of humor, Olivia proved that no celeb is off limits for a bit of poking fun. "Bieber, put your f***ing shirt on. (unless you lost all your shirts in a fire in which case my condolences and please purchase a new shirt,)" the actress, 28, tweeted about 19-year-old Justin’s shirtless street style in London on March 2. Justin’s bare chested pic has become an iconic image in his Worst Birthday Week Ever London escapades.
Olivia Wilde Explains Her Justin Bieber Diss Tweet To Jay Leno
Olivia explains that she was just expressing concern for Justin, and didn’t mean to sound mean. “I have a 19-year-old brother in London and it’s freezing and if I saw him without a shirt I would tell him to put it on,” the actress said on the March 12 episode of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, further clarifying she said it “with love.”
Olivia claims that people “misunderstood,” her Tweet, believing that she was being mean spirited. She received thousands of messages from furious Bieber fans, she said.
“At first I thought they were being mean,” she explained. “But then I realized it was just helpful advice like I gave to him,” she continued, not without a dose of sarcasm.
Perhaps Olivia is seriously regretting her little piece of advice.
