Us Weekly now reports that Miley and Liam are dealing with “the worst fight of their relationship.” Allegedly, neither Miley nor Liam can take the high road and a small fight has blossomed into a huge one. “They do love each other, but they also like to create drama in their relationship,” a source says.
The issues really did begin as we thought — when Liam was spotted getting close to actress January Jones at an Oscars Weekend party. Both Miley and Liam are the jealous types so that small rumor was all it took. Liam insisted that the party was nothing and that “everyone was just drunk and being silly,” but Miley wasn’t convinced.

“They both get jealous and feed into it,” the source explains.
Liam’s January Jones tryst set off a chain of game-playing for Miley. The insider says, “They love to push each other’s buttons.” Miley allegedly pushed those buttons by purposely going out without her 3.5-carat Neil Lane engagement ring on Mar. 6. She piled it on the next night by going ringless again and partying it up with Liam’s friend Paul Khoury. This doesn’t exactly sound like a healthy relationship — two people who love each other probably shouldn’t be playing games trying to make one another jealous.
Liam also reportedly believes that Miley’s makeover was might have been slow burning diss, a statement made in spite of him: “Liam doesn’t hate her new look,” another source explains, adding that he “has always admired Miley’s independence, but now it’s more like a rebellion. It’s freaking him out.”

The crazy amount of drama recently has made Liam flee the country in order to get away from it all! On Mar. 2, he departed to Australia — 7,900 miles away — for a moment of clarity. And while he’s also been spotted out ringless, a friend tells Us that he and Miley aren’t all the way split up. “Miley and Liam are talking,” he says. “But he needed a beat.”
No one knows where the couple will go from here. Will they fight through these struggles? Will they split for good? One thing seems clear — a wedding is a LONG ways away. “No one thinks they’ll actually get married,” a Cyrus family insider says.
