Selena Gomez’s Performance: Culturally Insensitive?
Selena, 20, gave her first live performance of “Come & Get It” at the MTV Movie Awards, and she began with a scarf over her head, before pulling it out and starting her sexy show.
Selena wore a bindi on her forehead, she danced barefoot and she did an Arabian nights style dance routine.
While her performance was fun and sexy, many people took to Twitter to accuse Selena of cultural appropriation.

I thought Selena’s performance was fun and sexy, and Arabian nights was a cute theme. I don’t think it was offensive, but she certainly upset some people!
