Is Jessica Simpson finally going to make it to the altar? After almost three years of being engaged to fiancé Eric Johnson, it looks like the soon-to-be mommy of two is ready to complete her family with a wedding!
Fashion Star mentor Jessica Simpson, 32, and former NFL pro fiancé Eric Johnson, 33, may be anxiously awaiting the birth of baby number two, but they have more than just a baby to look forward to! The couple plans to tie the knot not long after Jessica delivers her baby boy this summer. What an exciting time for Jessica and Eric!
Jessica Is Ready To Walk Down The Aisle For A Second Time
The two originally planned to exchange vows this spring before the birth of baby number two, but they decided to push it back until after the birth — and clearly Jessica is ready! During her baby shower in April, a source revealed to Us Weekly that Jessica wants to get married a few months after the baby is born.
“Jessica said, ‘Let’s have this wedding already before I get pregnant with another one!’”
Since Eric proposed in the fall of 2010, the couple has had to cancel their wedding twice due to Jessica’s two pregnancies. As anxious as they may be to get hitched, it will be the second time walking down the aisle for both of them: Jessica divorced 98 Degrees boy bander Nick Lachey in 2005 ,and Eric split from wife Keri Johnson in 2010.
Jessica Has Been Calorie-Conscious With Baby Number Two
In lieu of a wedding in the near future, Jessica is determined to not pack on the pounds with this pregnancy. The former Weight Watchers spokesperson put on 70 pounds while carrying baby Maxwell Drew Johnson, but as of April 17 she had only put on half of that weight while carrying her little boy. Her chef has been on-hand to make healthier calorie-conscious food and ensure that she’ll be wedding dress ready in time for her big day!
