Shortly after Mariah Carey announced her departure from ‘American Idol,’ Nicki followed suit by announcing that she’s also quitting the music talent show.
It looks like the only judge still left for the next season of American Idol is Keith Urban. Nicki Minaj will be joining Mariah Carey and Randy Jackson in leaving the show as a judge.

On May 30, Nicki officially announced she was leaving the show by tweeting, “Thank you American Idol for a life changing experience! Wouldn’t trade it for the world! Time to focus on the Music!!! Mmmuuuaahhh!!!”
Nicki is leaving the American Idol judges table after one season.

Nicki’s announcement came minutes after Mariah’s PR firm @PMK_BNC tweeted, ”W/ global success of "#Beautiful" (#1 in 30+ countries so far) @MariahCarey confirms world tour & says goodbye 2 Idol.”

On May 9, Randy revealed this season of American Idol would be his last. He released a statement announcing his departure:
Yo! Yo! Yo! To put all of the speculation to the rest, after 12 years of judging on American Idol I have decided it is time to leave after this season. I am very proud of how we forever changed television and the music industry. It's been a life changing opportunity but I am looking forward to focusing on my company Dream Merchant 21 and other business ventures.
The only judge’s fate who hasn’t been decided is Keith’s. The rumor is that Idol producers are planning a revamp of the show by bringing back Idol alum to be the judges on the next season.
