Nina Dobrev never disappoints. The Vampire Diaries star agreed to do a “twitterview” with Vanity Fair on May 30, answering questions from fans about her style inspirations, her favorite music — and, of course, her hit CW show!
Nina’s Favorite ‘Vampire Diaries’ Episode Revealed
When a fan asked Nina, 24, to pick her favorite Vampire Diaries episode of all time – which is no easy task, considering the fourth season finale marked the show’s 89th installment — she didn’t even hesitate before answering.
“‘Lost girls’ is my all time favorite,” Nina tweeted.
What Happened In ‘Lost Girls?’
Nina’s favorite episode — though iconic for fans — is also about three years old at this point, so here’s the official description in case you need a refresher:
IN A FLASHBACK SEQUENCE, STEFAN REVEALS THE SALVATORE FAMILY HISTORY TO ELENA — Elena (Nina Dobrev) demands that Stefan (Paul Wesley) explain the frightening events that have been happening in Mystic Falls. In flashbacks, Stefan explains how his rivalry with Damon (Ian Somerhalder) began. Back in the present, Damon impulsively takes control of Vicki's (Kayla Ewell) future, and a confused and frightened Vicki runs away. Finally, Sheriff Forbes (guest star Marguerite MacIntyre) and Mayor Lockwood (guest star Rob Pralgo) take steps to protect the town.
Seriously, is it any wonder why this was Nina’s favorite episode? It had it all: an epic flashback, a dark twist, and sadly, a major death. This episode marked Kayla Ewell‘s final appearance on the show — until, of course, Vicki returned at the end of the second season as a ghost.
