Chris will release his new album, ‘X,’ on July 16, but don’t expect to hear any duets with Rihanna. A source tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that Chris is doing everything he can to keep such tracks off the album.
It must have been a bitter breakup! Following Chris Brown’s split with Rihanna, the “Fine China” singer is threatening his record label, telling them to keep any tracks with Rihanna off his album!
Rihanna On Chris Brown Album? — Breezy: NO Ex On ‘X’
A source close to Chris tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively, “Just saw the working track list for ‘X’ yesterday — Rihanna is not on there. Record execs wanted that song on there, but Chris said he would rather not and wouldn’t allow the record to be released unless they took it off. They’re still hoping to convince Chris or pay him more to change his mind because it would be a hit. The record hasn’t been pressed yet, so things can change, but at this point he’s been bullheaded and won’t change his mind.”
Chris, 24, previously confirmed that a track featuring Rihanna, 25, would be on his new album, but that was before they broke up.
Chris Brown Previously Confirmed: Rihanna ‘Will Be On My Album’
"We're taking it one day at a time," Chris told USA Today of RiRi in late March. "She's a wonderful girl. She's beautiful. She's on tour and our schedules don't allow us to be as close as we want to be. But everything is good. She will be on my album."
Sadly, things can change in a blink of an eye. Chris and Rihanna have split and he’s now dating his other ex Karrueche Tran again.
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Should Chris’ duet with Rihanna go on his new album?
