'The Last Goodbye,' a song from Miley’s new album, sounds very different from her party anthem 'We Can't Stop.' The lyrics are intense, and a source tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively if it’s a message to Liam Hemsworth.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth were not photographed together for five months up until June 17, so there’s been speculation that her heartbreaking song “The Last Goodbye” might be an emotional way to bid adieu to her fiance. Read on to find out if that’s the case!

‘The Last Goodbye’ About Miley Cyrus’ Dog Lila — Sad Song

A source close to Miley tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively, “It isn’t about Liam, it’s actually something that came to her after her dog died and formed into this song. It started as a sad song but when it’s released you’ll see that it is actually uplifting.”

The 5-second sneak peek that’s available does not provide much except the following lyric: "I know you're going to want me to come home for a last goodbye," however, our source assures as that it’s not a song about Liam.

Plus, Miley is definitely not saying goodbye to her fiance anytime soon. The two were recently spotted on a romantic movie date at the ArcLight Cinemas in Los Angeles, where they were seen showing a bit of PDA.
